Summary: • Responsible for the acquisition of new customer accounts that are in alignment with the company sales strategy, meet sales goals and profitability expectations. Responsibilities: • Identify, pursue, and close new customer accounts that are in alignment with company growth and profitability objectives • Create solid relationships with key personnel and decision makers within customer accounts • Partner with Account Manager to ensure effective execution of solutions to meet customer satisfaction objectives Job Specific Competencies: • Solution/Consultative Selling Skills o Identifies, pursues and closes on selling opportunities with new accounts that are a strategic fit for company and in alignment with pricing and profitability objectives o Creates and effectively communicates solutions that address customer needs and leverages all appropriate products & services that our company offers • Customer Focus o Able to create appropriate and relevant relationships with customers on all levels including senior management. Genuinely shows passion, interest and empathy for customer needs. • New Customer Acquisition o Proactively establishes specific strategies and plans to drive new business that is aligned with company expectations • Business Acumen o Fundamentals: understands the basics of how a business operates and makes money from a profit/loss perspective o Company capabilities: understands our company value prop, products, services and solutions capabilities and how to effectively communicate/demonstrate how they address customer needs o Customer Acumen: understands the competition (strength’s, weaknesses, go to market strategies, etc) and utilizes this intelligence to effectively position our company’s capabilities in relationships to competitors o Financial Acumen: Understands how to structure solutions/deals with customers that meet the profitability goals of the company • Qualifications: o Problem Solving & Decision Making o Prospect, Cold-Call, Business Development, and Account Management o Ability to cross sell multiple products and services. Basic knowledge of more than one print service offering. o Good analytical thinking and ability to solve problems in a timely fashion o Relevant advertising or media sales experience o Valid Drivers License- ability to travel within a designated territory Ideal candidate will have a newspaper, direct or yellow page sales experience. Client target will be small to mid-size companies who utilize our products.
